My StoryBefore I was a Photographer, I was a Social Worker for 10 years
Social work taught me how to be an intentional observer.
It taught me to listen beneath words. To notice body language. Spot the details. To understand that being seen can feel vulnerable. To honor identity, culture, joy, grief, life transitions, and resilience with care.
For me, photography, is an extension of that work.
I donβt separate my lens from my values. The same principles that guided my work in social work shape every session I hold.
The Girl Behind The Lens
+ Some of my best friends call me Teddy/Ted (Spoiler: My last name is Tedeschi)
+ Originally from New Jersey, I grew up going to Ocean City beaches. Favorite boardwalk snack: Manco + Manco pizza and Curleyβs fries with salt + vinegar.
+ My family means the world to me. Growing up, my grandparentsβ kitchen table was my home base; the space we would always find ourselves chatting and laughing for hours. Now that Iβm in Boston, we have a phone date every Tuesday.
+ Finding a good acoustic cover is my love language. A forever favorite of mine is Mr. Brightside by Run River North.
+ Iβve been leaning into solo travel. My first solo trip abroad was to Paris in 2023. Youβll see little nods to my trip throughout my website as I fell in love with the βfeelβ of the city. Next up: Ireland/UK this year!
+ York peppermint patties are my favorite candy.
+ On a rainy day you can find me wrapped up in a blanket, hot coffee in my favorite Deep Creek MD mug, watching any 90s Julia Roberts rom com
+ I am a Pisces through and through. Commercials make me cry. I recently read a quote βsensitive souls see moreβ and I am learning to view this as my superpower.

Somewhere North was born from a season of becoming β a move to a new city, a new chapter, and a curiosity for adventure.
This business is an extension of my own evolution. It reflects the courage to take risks, the beauty of evolving, and the quiet magic found in stepping into the unknown β even when itβs imperfect. Especially then.
Iβm drawn to those who crave experience, who lean into change, and who value photographs that hold real connection β the authentic, unscripted moments that canβt be recreated. The wind in your hair. The beautifully unpolished belly laughs.
Because the most meaningful moments arenβt staged.
Theyβre lived.
